The superintendent for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg public school system had a desire to grow its Career & Technical Education program. Career & Technical Education (CTE) was becoming a major pillar in U.S. secondary schools, and Charlotte’s CTE program was confusing, lacked aspiration, and needed to appeal to a teen demographic. Initially, Adam Roth Design Inc. came up with a bold colorful graphic with icons to represent the program’s various career paths. Then we created fair materials including banners, posters, t-shirts and stickers to help educate families about the program’s career opportunities for students. Within 3 years, the playful and energized campaign has helped propel the system’s program to a much brighter future.
